God’s Words
“so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
It’s not our words that matter, that make a difference, that deliver an eternal impact, it’s God’s words. The word of God, His promises, is what will save a soul and turn a sinner to repentance. We don’t always see the impact or the outcome, but the Holy Spirit can and does bring conviction through God’s Word. It is the words from the Bible that bring life to the dying, comfort to the grieving, and peace to the troubled.
It is incumbent upon us to fix verses of Scripture in our memory so we may contemplate the promise and be able to share with others as opportunity arises. Hiding God’s Word in our heart is the best way to partake in His power.
Let’s pray today that we may be quick to share the words of God with others, not our own.
