Impossibilities
“If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23
Belief in the promises of God’s word, not in your own worth, is what makes the impossible possible. Jesus Christ bids us to have faith in Him and in so doing our belief is a trust, sometimes unseen but always backed by the very power of the Creator God. We believe because we have faith in the words of our God and it is God’s Word that gives us reason to have faith.
Without belief in the Lord Jesus Christ we are left to live by fear, rather than faith in Him to do what His word has promised. Belief is fully resting in the Lord, much like the same way we fully rest in a chair to support our full body weight.
Let’s pray today that we may not doubt but have faith in God’s word as we face impossibilities.
