Look and Live
“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” John 3:14-15
Those who intently gaze upon the Lord Jesus Christ held high on Calvary’s cross find reprieve from their sin. The Old Testament points toward the ministry of the Messiah to come, and when an outbreak of venomous snakes occurred among the Israelites, those who looked upon Moses’ serpent on the pole found healing from the venom. Behold the Lamb of God that takes away sin and live.
Whatever venom is crippling you from walking with the Lord, take time out to behold Him through prayer, meditation, and by being in His word. In the Lord Jesus Christ you will find healing, wholeness, and hope.
Let’s pray today that we focus upon Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary and receive His healing.
