The Great Promise
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
The great commission from Jesus Christ is a great promise to be shared, that He has not left us and He is returning for us. Jesus has not escaped us by leaving us behind to defend for ourselves against the world. We can collectively and cooperatively preach all the teachings of Scripture, because the promise of our Lord is that He will never leave us, never forsake us, never forget us, never ever even until the end of time.
As the church we are not left without direction, but we have this directive from the Lord Jesus Christ to go and make more disciples. Every believer and every congregation that claims the Lordship of Christ has this great promise to live by.
Let’s pray today that we may be led by the Holy Spirit to share the great promise with others.
