Rescued to Rescue
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Mark 1:17
Every follower of Jesus Christ is rescued from sin and becomes a rescuer of those in the same sin. Like a fisherman whose experience brings forth a catch by the use of an exact lure, so will your own personal experience draw those who need the Savior that you follow. Whatever He has brought you from is where you are best equipped to fish for men.
We are all called to share whatever testimony we have experienced in deciding to follow Jesus as Lord but we can also fish for those who are as we once were. Whatever story we may have is likely the very story that others need to hear.
Let’s pray today that we may cast our nets in the direction from where we have found the Savior.
