No More Grief

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

Grief is a very lonely feeling that leaves the mourner wondering if things will ever be normal again. Jesus knows your grief and with the story of the death Lazarus we saw that he knows the tears that grief brings. The day is coming when mortal shall put on immortal and sorrow will be replaced with eternal peace and the empty void of loss will end in the comforting arms of God in Heaven.

Comfort does not always come as we may expect because family and friends may stay at a distance, but the Lord is always near. Allow our times of mourning to drive us to find comfort from the Lord, in His promises, and in the blessed hope.

Let’s pray today for those who miss loved ones and that we will all long for Heaven.
