Humble for Heaven
“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5
Our society doesn’t always recognize meekness as a quality to be cherished, but our Father in Heaven does. No one wants to spend eternity with boisterous proud people, but rather with those who humbly recognize the high cost of salvation, which is why God rewards those who stand faithful to heavenly principles above earthly gains.
Heaven will be filled with those who lived quiet lives, like the faithful mother who lived mostly unknown outside her family and the steadfast father who labored without worldly ambition. Thankfully, the Lord sees the humble and the new earth is their reward.
Let’s pray today that we will not become hardened by others but stand for truth, humbly.
