While We Wait

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14

Waiting tries our patience and can leave us discouraged unless we take that time for communion with Jesus. We wait on cashiers, we wait on services, we even wait on answers to prayer. We wait everyday on something or someone, but rather than waiting on them we ought to wait on the Lord. Every delay is a call to prayer and intercession on behalf of those around us.

There is strength in prayer and encouragement for our soul. When we give our attention to communing with the Lord and interceding for those about us, we are not feeding our anxiety or discontent from waiting.

Let’s pray today in times of waiting and for those whom we wait on in the marketplace.
