Eternal Investment
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:20-21
Investments of earth will depreciate and decay but investments in Heaven will give you eternal returns. Nothing of this earth lasts, and nothing of this earth is guaranteed to remain secure or safe. Only our treasures of gospel worth will return dividends to last into eternity. What we invest in faithfulness to Christ is all that will last.
If we are consumed with investing our energies into the things of this earth, we’ll come to the end of our days unprepared for Heaven. If we have sowed our life into the things of Heaven, we’ll reap a great joy when it comes time to meet the Lord.
Let’s pray today that we would give of our heart and mind, all that we are and have to Heaven.
