Everlasting Life
“and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” Isaiah 35:10
Jesus, the Son of God, paid the ransom for our redemption and right to enter into everlasting life. He welcomes us into the open gates of our Heavenly Father’s eternal home. In Heaven there will be no sadness as we stand in awe and wonder before the One who saved us. We can only imagine the beauty before us and the amazing glorious change within us, realizing there is no going back to the sorrow we left on earth.
Gladness and joy will overtake any sense of burden, fear, or dread when we enter the gates of eternal life. The default emotions we’ve learned to expect here, like sadness or skepticism, will be replaced with rejoicing.
Let’s pray today that our heart will stay steadfast onto the eternal life before us in Heaven.
