Child of God
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Childhood is the only opportunity we have to set a future adult in the direction of the cross for a lifetime. We can influence adults to repent of sin and follow the Savior, but the foundation of one’s life is built in the classroom of childhood when faith in Jesus is easiest to exercise. If you are a parent, don’t shrink back from teaching children about the Lord.
If you are an adult who missed out on being raised in the ways of the Lord, don’t think it’s too late for you to follow Him. With a spirit as pure as the child you once were, your faith in Christ can still grow and keep you on the safe path.
Let’s pray today that we would teach children the path of God, as we have opportunity.
