Answers to Prayer
“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22
Answers to prayer are not limited by our lack of religious works, but by our lack of biblical faith. A lack of faith in the promises of God’s word is what hinders our effective communication with the Lord. Prayer may go unanswered when we ask in doubt and criticism or when we ask against His will, but God does honor His promises.
It is possible that a request we make to the omniscient Lord is not what’s best for us and that may go unanswered, but in our prayerful laboring through the promises of Scripture we may discover that. Through prayer our faith grows stronger.
Let’s pray today that we may pray in a clinging faith based on the very promises of God.
