Christ’s Life
“Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39
A Christian does not live their own life, we live Christ’s life through faith and by His indwelling Spirit. When we believe the Bible and respond to the gospel we follow our Lord in newness of life. We die to self and arise to a new life that is no longer governed by selfish ambition, but we seek to bring glory to God in all that we do, say, and think.
We may not always perfectly represent our new life in Christ, because we are sinful human flesh, but the Lord is our advocate whose grace is sufficient for us in our weakness. There is no limit on repentance, forgiveness, and faith to live Christ’s life.
Let’s pray today to allow the Spirit of God to have control of our every thought and actions.
