Protector of Widows
“The Lord tears down the house of the proud, but he sets the widow’s boundary stones in place.” Proverbs 15:25
The extravagance of a wicked man’s wealth is no match for a Christian widow’s humble abode. A proud man may construct homes of admirable worth, but a widow with simple means has the superior protection of the Lord of Hosts. God has a special caring interest in the widow who looks toward Him as her Provider.
It is easy to assume that all our security has gone to the grave with our deceased spouse, but that is not so. The God of the Heavens is quick to show His protection to the widow and widower who claims this promise by faith.
Let’s pray today for every widow to find comfort in trusting in the Lord God as Provider and Protector.
